Farm Radio International is made up of more than 300 radio stations and other organizations working in radio for development in over 39 sub-Saharan African countries. Through radio, our partners can reach an estimated 600 million people in more than 300 languages. If you're interested in becoming a partner, please contact us by phone or e-mail.
Partners develop our scripts into informative and entertaining radio programs, adding local information and perspectives to meet community needs. Our partners contribute their own resources – staff and volunteers, production and broadcast facilities – and it is with their collaboration that we are able to make such a difference to so many people.
In addition to providing scripts, we support our partners with materials and services for professional development to help them increase the impact of their radio programs. Our quarterly publication includes training pieces, tip sheets and production notes. We alert partners to training opportunities and resources for audience evaluation, technical skills, and content creation. We also link partners to other regional and international resources, such as community organizations, agriculture extension agents, NGOs, and local research institutions.
